Formerly an observer of the FIA International Auto Racing Federation and Timo Rautiainen, ex-top track reader of the World Rally Championships, has been named Vice-President of the FIA World Rally Championship Division. Formerly this was Jarmo Mahonen.
Jarmo Mahonen served as chairman of the FIA WRC Commission until the end of 2017 until his position was taken by ex-team manager Yves Matton of the Citroën WRC Team in the early part of this year. Matton will continue to chair next year, and his “second co-worker” was named at the FIA World Council in St. Petersburg on Wednesday, Russia’s top exponent card reader Timo Rautiainen, 54.
Rautiainen participated in his 144-MM racing and all of them read notes for Marcus Grönholm. Doubles achieved two world championships, 2000 and 2002, 30 racing wins, and a total of 61 prize pools. Rautiainen is third in the World Series of Victory Statistics and in the prize statistics for sixth.
